Lukas is 17 years old. He is a rescued Thoroughbred (horse). He chose me to be his buddy. Lukas is the World's Smartest Horse (according to the World Records Academy) and Guinness is reviewing a record attempt by him.
He's been in the news world-wide and performs to benefit non-profits. He also spends time entertaining children to show how wonderful and smart our animals are. Lukas is also considered one of the top liberty (loose) trick horses in the world to show that animals can learn without the use of force.

He's all dressed up like a court jester, and doing the Mr.Ed act now, I suppose. You're right about animals being taught all sorts of things using the "Kindness technique".
We have a niece and a nephew who graduated from Parelli's School of Horse Training". At the schools (which are all over the country now), humans are taught how to ask a horse to do anything just using voice control. They do the most amazing things I've ever seen. Horses loading themselves in and out of horse trailers and they do it with only voice command. The horses are having fun, and actually playing with the human trainers.
Anyone interested in horses and training horses should look these schools up on the internet to learn more about the method used and to see for themselves what horses are capable of doing.
