Mix and shape meat into balls. Brown meatballs in skillet. Not too long, just until they hold shape. Then line them in pan or baking dish. Simmer sauce ingredients for 10 minutes. Pour sauce over balls and bake in 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes.

Here is an inexpensive and fast way to make Swedish meatballs.
Mix hamburger, crackers, eggs and garlic powder well and roll in to
meatballs. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 30-45 minutes, until nearly done. Drain fat.
For gravy, put the soup in a bowl and blend with 1/2 can of milk per can of soup. Pour over meatballs and bake another 15 minutes or so until soup is hot.
May serve with mashed potatoes topped with more of the cream of mushroom soup gravy.

I love Swedish meatballs, another dish to use with ground beef! Add some dill to the meatball for a Scandinavian twist. (05/20/2008)

Soak crumbs in cream and then add to the meat. Add remaining ingredients. Form into very small meatballs and brown carefully on all sides in hot shortening.
I need a recipe for Swedish meatballs using pork and beef or just pork.
Soak bread crumbs in 1 cup milk. Add onion, meat, egg and seasonings; mix thoroughly. Shape into 1 inch balls and saute' in butter in skillet until lightly browned on all sides.
