Mix crackers, sugar and margarine and put in a 9x13 inch pan. Top with last 3 ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes.
Cook sugar, salt, egg yolks, milk, cinnamon, and pumpkin until thickened and add gelatin soaked in water to hot mixture and set aside to cool. When cooled, beat the egg whites and add to pumpkin mixture. Pour this on top of cooled crust. Let stand in refrigerator for a few hours and top with whipped topping.

Can you tell me if there is a difference between "crushed crackers" and "crumbs"?
This sounds good. I'd like to try this one.
Editor's Note: I doubt if there is much difference except that crumbs would not have any pieces of recognizable cracker in them. Crushed crackers might.
