Turn Off Shower To Save Water

When I shower, I turn off the water while I lather up, shampoo my hair, or shave my legs. I'm amazed at the amount of water I save by only having the water on twice instead of running it the entire shower.

I also do this. I also save the water in the tub and put it in a bucket, then I use it to flush our toilet. So far this year I have saved over $30 on our water bill.

If I did that the water would be very hot. It takes my shower at least 5 minutes to get to the temperature I need.
