We had a time out in the car. We came to see the monument at the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor while on a layover in Hawaii. Our kids were insistent on begging for ice cream and having tantrums, so we sat in the car for a few moments. I noticed the mirror framing the flags just so, and found it uplifting.

I should have mentioned that touring the USS Arizona is free, as is the shuttle launch to the site of the memorial over the sunken ship, just arrive early as the last shuttle leaves at 3pm.
Thanks for sharing this with us. It would be great if more people honored those lost due to war. Maybe we should all watch "A Few Good Men" or "Saving Private Ryan" again.
