I am looking for the web site that tells the ratings of products such as appliances, cookware, vacuums, and even airlines. I went to Consumer Reports, but it requires that I subscribe for around $19. Isn't there a free site where we can find out all this information?

Answering my own post in case it has gotten buried under other feedback :) Hope someone can help me out. Thanks. :)
Try http://www.epinions.com, which I use often. You can also join and post your own reviews.
You can go to the library and read the Consumers Reports.
You might reconsider that $19, because it's a bargain. Consumer Reports accepts no advertising, therefore their published test results are not slanted from pressure from any advertisers. Their test data is pure, not polluted.
I Google -- product name then "review"
I use epinions too.
I use www.epinion.com all the time. Free to join.
Occasionally Consumer Reports gives a positive recommendation for something that turns out to be a lemon. Use your own best judgement, common sense, buyer beware... and learn from their articles.
