I started selling Avon a month ago, feeling very confident. I have only made 90 dollars. How can I sell more? I can I make my client base larger?

Who are you trying to sell to, family, friends, co-workers? Leave some of the brochures in doctors, dentists waiting rooms. When you go to the beauty shop leave a couple brochures in the waiting area. It's a little late to do a Christmas open house, but about 4-6 weeks before Easter you could stock up on various items and advertise an open house for Easter/Spring. Actually now would be a good time to start planning the open house and then in mid-January, early February start advertising it on a weekly basis. Offer an occasional bargain item. But then on the other hand some people can sell and some can't. I'm a person that can't sell anything.
You have to go where people are, put brochures on cars in parking lots all over town. Go to laundry places every 2 hours, show them what you have to sell, give them brochures.
I agree with kffrmw88, you have to get your brochures out there. My mom has a succesful avon business but it took her years of walking every neighborhood in town putting books on people's doors to get there. You have to work hard to get your name out. Figure out who buys Avon and target them. For my mom she has found a lot of senior ladies buy Avon because they like that she comes to the house to deliver in person.
Definitely word of mouth and door to door! Be personable and be willing to demonstrate with your samples when needed with everyone! Doesn't have to be a lavish demonstration, just show you care and believe in your product!
Oh! And how about an invite to as many people as you can to your home for a product demonstration(s) party? You could simply serve tea or coffee and pass out brochures and order forms and try to collect completed forms before they leave and hope that those who don't give you forms right then and there will send in an order (be sure your order form is pre-printed with your name and address on it so you get the sale credit). Anyway, I once went to a Pampered Chef demonstration and didn't commit to anything before I left but two days later I did and I know the woman who hosted got the credit because the form had her name and address on it. I am wishing you the best of luck and just be positive, sincere and sell your wares ;-)
I have a day care in my home, so don't get out much. I look forward to my Avon Lady leaving a brochure in my mailbox. She lives about 12 streets away, and does the whole area!
