Offer to Babysit as Birthday or Anniversary Gift

One of the very best gifts anyone could ever give is the gift of love. Love lies upon the beholder. Try giving a gift of time. Give someone you love an afternoon alone with their loved one. What better more frugal gift could you give (other than chocolate), that would mean so much to anyone who has children than an afternoon of being alone.

That's what I gave my daughter & son-in-law for this past Christmas! I took little gift tags on string so they could hang them on the fridge & wrote on them that they were redeemable for babysitting their 2 year old twins. Some were for a couple of hours so mom & dad could go to a movie, a couple were for spending the night at Grandma & Grandpa's house!

Very thoughtful, I can't count the times I fervently wished for a break from my four "stair-step" little ones, the time alone (without their dad, who might as well have been kid #5) would've been invaluable.
