I have read lots of advice about what to use to clean the limescale build-up from a porcelain toilet pan. But mostly the products are available at Walmart, etc. Where can I get something similar in the UK, please?

Use hydrochloric acid, which can be found in drugstores or hardware stores. Wear gloves when spraying in the toilet. The hydrochloric acid you can buy by yourself is NOT very strong, but efficient enough.
This is for a thorough clean. Afterward, for regular cleaning use white vinegar.
