Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening as for pie crust. Beat the egg and add to dry ingredients. More milk may be needed to make a soft dough to roll out into about 1/4 inch thickness. Take 2 lbs. pork stead, grind and season. Make into small rolls, about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Cover each roll with pastry and bake until meat is done (350 degrees for 40 minutes). Serve hot. Can be made ahead and frozen.
