Recycling Plastic Grocery Bags
As I empty my plastic grocery bags, I fold them up neatly and
store them in another bag. When I get quite a number, I give
them to my local library. They use them when checking out books
to make it easier for their patrons to keep the books dry in
rainy weather or just to make them easier to carry. The library
really appreciates getting them.

Eliminate Grocery Bags
Reduce the number of plastic grocery bags by investing in a few
of the heavy duty REUSABLE mesh bags for sale at many grocery
stores. Their uses are infinite!

Line Drying Clothes
I very rarely dry my cotton clothes, (jeans, t shirts, or any
other non-permanent press items) in my dryer. I hang them on the line, and find that they last much longer that way. I have
t-shirts that are ten years old and still look new. Think about
it - when you clean out your dryer vent, those clumps you throw
away are pieces of your clothing!

About hanging up clothes: to prevent them from fading from the
sun. I turn t-shirts inside out and any other colored items you
don't want to fade. And they smell so fresh from the line drying!

I put clothes in the dryer for a few minutes to "shake" them out
before line drying them. If you put a dryer sheet in with the
clothes it will help prevent the wrinkles. For clothes that will
eventually end up on hangers, I hang them wet and put the hangers
on the line. Then they are easy to put away. Make sure you
smooth the damp clothes out with your hands and make them as
straight as possible. That way they look nearly like they've
been ironed.
