We are having a Ladies Night Out at our church and the theme is "Superwomen". I need some ideas for centerpieces for the tables. We will have about 20 tables and the decorations will need to be cost effective.

If this event is to be held after the July 4th holiday....
Try a paper goods store for some Wonder Woman colored festive decor in silver, gold, red, white and blue. Those are the original colors for the super hero Wonder Woman.
Carnations can be bought in bulk relatively cheap and flower stores may have some on sale right after the holiday.
Silk flowers in this themed color will be on sale too, and you can dress them up with some ribbon and glitter.
Another nice touch is a place card for each seat with an inspiring sentiment on it, (not for seating chart purposes). Some catchy saying about strength?
I love dede's ideas. I was going to suggest the red, blue, gold carnations with a cutout of the Superman "S" on a pick in the center. Her idea of the inspirational phrases could be used, also, as napkin rings or coasters!
