My parents had been married 59 years when this picture was taken. My dad was in the middle of fighting cancer and on chemotherapy. He had taken a fall the previous day and scraped his head.
My parents enjoyed sitting on the front porch, basking in the sunshine. In this picture, they are also basking in one another company with a little snooze. My dad passed away a couple of months after this picture was taken.

What a sweet story and picture. I read today when a couple are together and do not speak but are silent it does not mean they are not compatible. You need to access the type of silence. If it is cold and because they each are in their own world or if it is warm and because of the complete serenity they have with each other.
Priceless and such a treasured picture to remember!
So touching and sweet.
The incredible dearness of it; hope your mom hanging in; wonderful picture.
