Cover the mark with a dry erase marker and erase as usual. Repeat as needed and this should do the trick.

Lisa is correct. This will work. You can also use the cleaning spray that is specifically for cleaning the boards. Most offices have this available, as the boards need to be cleaned periodically to remove the actual dry erase marker.
