Thanks for this idea. I'll try it this year as one thing we have are pine trees and lots of pinecones.
Lots of pinecones here in my apartment complex so will grab a couple tomorrow and hang them from my porch railing. Ooooo, this would give me even more pleasure if the squirrels like peanut butter too :-)
You can even roll the peanut butter covered pinecones in birdseed for an added treat.
