They are black, oval, and crunch when you kill them. They can climb up walls and get everywhere and they move slowly. Any ideas what they are?

They might be carpet beetles. Look closely down between the fibers of your carpet and see if you see any bugs or larvae.
I have had similar black bugs in my house. I have heard that they are coming off our manitoba maple trees, but really, I don't know. They do not seem to be harmful, just a nuisance.
I had cigarette/drugstore bugs last year, and that sounds like what you may have. They were a pain to rid of, but so far don't have them again.
Take sample to your fertilizer store. I spent 4 weeks spraying for bed bugs but they werent bed bugs. Theyre like chiggers, no see ums, teeny tiny black, white or red dots that burrow into your skin and bite like hell! And multiply right in front of you. I tug the sheet, and gently sweep my hand across it and get rid of those that didnt die from the spray, or alcohol or lemon juice..whatever I have handy when oe bites me. Yes, on my scalp.itching.like lice but not. But these bite, not just crawl all over you.. ALL OVER you! Exfoliate daily, scrubtheyll stick to you like glue, and reproduce under your skin I think! Yuck!

I was so fed up Fighting these bugs I just started my generator in the house and let the silent death loose carbon monoxide they didn't even see it coming The floor had every different bug imaginable And it cured my problem but let the generator run till it starts missing that means the oxygen is depleted in that area I just did the whole house at once And I did the room separately
