I wash and dry fresh lemons. Cut them into wedges and de-seed them. Toss them into a freezer proof bag or container.
Whenever I need a lemon in my drink, I add the frozen wedges. No need to thaw, use them frozen. If you need lemon for cooking/baking, take the wedges out of freezer and let thaw a bit.

Thanks for the excellent tip. I have a lemon tree and I often squeeze the juice and freeze it in ice cube trays then transfer the frozen cubes to a freezer bag, but this is MUCH easier!
So simple, but I never would have come up with this great idea! I'll be looking for a sale on lemons.
thanks
I had a "DUH" moment with this. Why have I never thought of this myself? Thanks for this handy tip. I am always throwing out parts of lemons that I don't finish.
Thanks, what a great tip. I always end up throwing away unused portions of lemons or putting them down the garbage disposal.
I also have lemon trees and never thought of this. What a great idea!
That's a great idea! I just threw away a few leftover lemon wedges because they went bad and went to the store to get more. Going to put them in the freezer now.
Great tip! I never knew you could freeze them like that. When I get a bag of lemons, some of them always go bad. Thanks again!
In this very trying economy, there are a lot of consumers looking for bargains on their groceries. There are many salvage grocery stores opening to satisfy these needs. Along with the good comes the bad. Helping Hands Grocery dba Smart Buy Grocery, owner Joseph Morello.
I love this and I'm going to try it with limes too. Thanks
I never thought of this! Great idea. Thank you for sharing with us.
Wow, I just looked at some lemons in my fridge today and thought I need use these before they go bad. Thanks!
Good idea - I've always hated cutting one wedge for my one glass of iced tea!
I store my lemons on their tree. It produces lemons all year here in Central California near San Jose. When they ripen too much and fall off I just rake them up and put them in my compost bin. When I need the juice I just pick some and squeeze them into ice cube trays. The silicon ones that you push out from the back make cubes that are just the right size for a cup of tea.
