I am taking up shellcraft. Can someone tell me what adhesive to use for fixing shells to pottery and smooth wood? Also, do you ever use grout or plaster to cover things and then set the shells into it? Thanks.

I won't use anything but E-6000 for "heavy work" so that is the best advice I can give.
Hot glue works good for if the item is flat and doesn't hang on the wall. But for the really tough jobs, that is the way to go. No muss either, as it's already mixed.

Beacon's or Alene's might work. Both of these can be found at the craft dept. of Wal-mart.
