Generally it's not a good idea to use diet pills IMHO. I did some diet pills and the ephedra in it really screwed up a prescription I was taking. I will NEVER do that again! Most of diet pills don't do as much as they promise anyway.
If you do go for a diet pill be sure to check ingredients for caffiene because it might be too strong a dose of caffiene.
I'd suggest using a slim-fast type of product. It is a regular food-product with carbohydrates, vitamins, fiber and protein. It's a no brainer style to do a diet -- just drink the shakes, eat the snacks and have a sensible dinner. You don't have to think a lot about what you can and cannot eat. You also have the security of knowing that you're not ingesting some bad additive like ephedra with it. Good luck.
My 2 cents.

If youw nat to know what to use, go ask your doctor. If your doctor won't recommend any to you - THERE's A REASON! Most of the diet pills simply don't work, but some can be very dangerous (e.g. ephedra can cause heart damage), especially if you have other medical conditions or are on medications.
If you really want to shed a few pounds, ask your doctor to see a nutritionist or dietary consultant who can help you safely change your diet and make sure you exercise.
My husband and I went to a local doctor and got B-12 shots every 5 weeks, and took phentermine. He lost 80 lbs in 4 months. I only lost 40 lbs.
Try Green Tea Fat Metabolizer by Irwin Naturals, they sell them at Sun Harvest. My daughter used them and they take a while but the weight eventually fell off of her. They have a high dosage of green tea in them and green tea is great for the overall body. :)
Diet pills and diets simply dont work!
If you really want to lose weight, there is a very simple formula you should use. It is:
Number of calories consumed minus number of calories burned off.
There is not any magic in this formula. It simply states if you want to lose weight, burn off more calories than the calories you consume. Exercise plays an important role in losing weight. He is what we do to keep fit:
1. Watch what you eat! Processed foods and treats are usually packed with calories.
2. Portion control. Even with the good foods, too much of anything adds up the calories.
3. Drink green tea, it speeds up your metabolism.
4. Exercise daily. Every movement you make burns up the calories.
5. Think of fun ways you can do things and burn calories at the same time. Mowing the lawn, walking the dog (or wife), gardening, running or anything else that keeps you moving will burn up the calories.
We bought one of those Tony Little Gazelles, a very good exercise machine that is a calorie burner. Typically, this would have gone in the screen room where at times we might have used it. Instead, I placed it in the family room right in front of the TV. Both my wife and myself are always on it as it is very handy and we get to watch our favorite programs while we are burning up the calories....
Diets and diet pills are just like fools gold. They look good, but seldom do they work and for sure they are expensive. Any good doctor will tell you to stay away from both of them and simply watch what you eat and exercise daily.
Hope this helps....
diet pills do not work. You should watch what you eat and exercise. With that you will lose great and feel great.
You can run! I know you said don't say run, but technically, all you need is shoes to run.You can run all over your neighborhood. It will keep you both in shape and healthy.
