Go to any thrift store and buy a unique vintage bed sheet. They come in some amazing floral prints, etc.! These sheets were made really well and hold up great over time. Take home and then thoroughly wash them clean. With some simple sewing skills, you can cut and sew up to make chair pads, throw pillows, and coordinating curtains. All from one large (queen or full) vintage sheet! A rare, beautiful and quaint way to decorate any room in your house.

What a great idea!! Saves a lot of money too. I also take 2 full size sheets each different and a blanket for the middle sew it together (like you would a quilt)Tie here and there and you have a nice warm cover for the bed and its reversible. If you get the matching pillowcases add wide lace to the edges and use them on the bed as pillow shams. GREAT BARGAIN!
I think this is a wonderful idea....and what you made looks so pretty...thanks for the "great" idea...and way to save that money!!!!!
If you think these sheets are made well take a look at the thread count (found on the label?) Or, if you're buying new sheets you'll find that the lower the thread count the cheaper the sheet. I use to buy sheets at discount stores and after a few months they would start to become knobby. It was the low thread count. Pay a little more $$$ and have sheets that last for years.
I have a printed fitted sheet that ended up with a hole in it. I've been saving it but had no use for it until I saw your post. It dawned on me that I can use it to cover a vanity stool.
