This is just a bit on info I am passing on. There is a difference in the bottoms of green bell peppers. If the bottom has 4 sections, it should be used in recipes, such as stuffed peppers. If the bottom has 3 sections , it is sweeter and should be sliced and eaten raw. I always wondered about the differences.

I had no idea there was a diff in taste between 3 and 4 sectioned peppers. I guess this is true for green, red, orange and yellow? You know, when I've bought peppers in the past all I've looked for was the skin wasn't wrinkly and I looked for the biggest ones coz they are always sold by the each -- not the pound.
