You should be able to find Amaretto flavoring at a large grocery store in the baking isle and if not here's an online link to order:
Try mixing almond extract from the dollar store with corn syrup.
1/4 cup amaretto liquer
1 cup maple syrup
In small saucepan, combine amaretto and syrup.
Heat to boiling. Allow to cool before serving.
The best recipe I know of.
