Take a clean, dry paper towel and rub the stained area while heating the area with a blow dryer.

The stain was over a week old and I had tried oil soap and furniture polish to no avail. Then I tried a melamine sponge

I was able to remove my rubbing alcohol stain on our dining room table with a melamine sponge (same as the Mr Clean Magic Eraser).

It worked! Leaking rubbing alcohol on our dining table left a horrible white stain. Heating it and rubbing with a paper towel took it all off. What a relief! Thanks

To say I was skeptical regarding the effectiveness of this approach is an understatement. However, can't tell you how happy I am to wrong about this.
