Can anyone instruct me how I might make a doggie backpack for my friend's miniature poodle? We'd like him to be able to carry his own water, treats, and "stoop and scoop" bags.
As an unofficial service dog for a person who is legally blind, he already wears a harness. So I need a way to attach his backpack so that it may be detached from the harness and will not interfere with it when being worn.

What I am looking for is more like doggie saddlebags, I guess. The vest pattern does not seem to be designed to carry anything.
