Was going through and organizing boxes of old photographs and came across this photo taken about a decade ago of the three boys, Jake, Duke and Shadow. Because we lived in the city not far from a busy street and, sadly some cruel people in the neighborhood, they had to be kept safe in the confines of their own home. You just know they were dreaming of escape to the great outdoors in this photo.
The photo also brings back sweet memories of what good friends these guys were and how their antics would make me laugh. It especially made me smile thinking of their joy as, one at a time, they were allowed to adventure in the fenced back yard under supervision until the moment you just knew they were ready to try hopping the fence - LOL ;-)

They look like my cats do when they get in the window ... they are in heaven!
How sweet!
Lovely Deeli, I can hear them chatting. The one on the left is craning his neck and saying 'Who's that down there then?' ...

Great photo!
I don't think people have to be cruel. Some just choose to, which is a tragedy.
They kind of look like some of my students, only smarter.
I can imagine one of them telling the others..."Shh... wait for the bird... just a little closer... shh..."
I love this picture!
