Beware if anyone is going thru your trash. I know a lady who isn't at home much during the daytime. One day the UPS man showed up at her house with a whole truckload of packages for her. When she insisted that she'd not ordered anything, he said, "well, they're all addressed to you". When she opened a few of them to see what they were, the products had been ordered from a specific company. When she and her daughter called the company to see why they'd sent all those packages for? They replied that a person had called in a huge order and said it was to go to her address.

What an amazing story you had to tell! I've forwarded your article to several of my friends....I've always made sure that nothing complete with my name/address is thrown away...For those who don't have a shredder, now is the time to buy one! Many credit card companies now send you a letter with blank checks with your personal information on it hoping you'll accept their credit card offer/transfer account, and usually is thrown away by the person who receives these letter as junk mail, even without opening the letter.
This is similar to the above story. The maid/housekeeper had ordered jewelry from a TV shopping channel and figured she'd pick the stuff up before the housewife returned from work.
She got away with it for a few months before someone figured it out.
