Thrifty Hot Pot Holders

I buy heavy men's black socks at the Dollar Store, and cut above and below the heel leaving a "pocket" which easily slips onto a hot pot or skillet handle. Then, I use the cuff as pot holders to remove hot dishes from the microwave. Four pot holders for the frugal price of a $1 pair of socks. These are flexible and easier for my small hands to grasp items rather than buying bulky square quilted pot holders which do not bend.
