Zipper Fix

As a fix, I have rubbed a #2 pencil on the zipper. It sometimes does the trick. Also you can try rubbing the zipper with bar soap. Anything is worth a try so you won't have to replace the zipper.

An old candle does the trick too.

Margarine or baby lotion or oil will do the trick. I have, in a great pinch when my boys were little, used petroleum jelly. I think when you have a gang of dirty boys changing britches every day they don't do well with all that laundering.
