I have Zebra finches and they just hatched an egg. What kind of food, etc. should I feed them to ensure a healthy offspring?

If you dont put a nest in the cage they will not have babies or lay eggs.
When will my baby zebra finches eat on there own there fledge now but still begging for food on there parents
My zebra finches laid 5 eggs in her food dish..a few losses but now 2 babies growing nice. No nesting material or nest.
If you remove them from the cage (if possible) and place them in the nearest food like seeds and fruit, they should get used to to pecking at it and eating it. If this doesnt work let the parents feed them until they work it out.
Thats not true , lack of nest only means they lay egs else where , fake eggs , like from a craft store are good as rhe female will sit on those and not lay more
My cage doesnt have a nest. The female laid an egg in the food bowl yesterday.
If you leave a food bowl empty they will nest in it make sure theres food or water in it if you dont want them to lay
