Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine milk and 1/2 of the pie filling mix in large mixer bowl, and beat well. Add apples and mix well. Pour into 8-inch square baking pan.
Combine margarine, flour, sugar, remaining pie filling mix, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and egg in bowl; mix well. Fold in pecans. Spread over apple mixture. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is light golden brown.
