How do I remove sidewalk chalk marks from denim fabric furniture? It is the large stick type chalk.

I think I would first try using a stiff brush and/or vacuum attachment to get off as much as possible. Then if there was a wee bit of residue left behind, I'd take a washcloth, wet it and squeeze out as much of the water as possible, and then rub the spot, turning the cloth to a clean spot frequently. Just to be safe, you should probably try the washcloth on a hidden area first, to make sure it doesn't change the appearance of the fabric after drying.
I've never had chalk on my furniture, so this is all just a guess. Maybe someone with experience will comment. Best of luck!
