We've had a pair of zebra finches for a few weeks. I just discovered 3 eggs in their nest. They had to have been laid in the last 12 hours, as I noticed she was very plump yesterday and now she is not. I am guessing they are still young finches. They are not sitting on the eggs. Is this normal for them?
Thank you!

Well, one accidentally bred my finches before, and generally if they don't sit on the eggs within 24 hours of the last egg than they won't sit on them. If they do sit they'll hatch in 12 to 15 days. If you get part 20 the eggs are dead.
If they don't sit and you wish to try and save the eggs buy a baby wipe heater and set it up comfortably. Put the eggs in turn it on and rotate often. But then you have to worry about feeding them and but special mix for that and care for them cover their next month until they mature.
