Sounds like it could be kennel cough. Would get to the vet ASAP.

If the puppy has not had vaccinations, it could be a very serious problem, and potentially fatal unless treated (parvo). Only a vet can tell you.
If you bought this puppy from a breeder they could perhaps be expected to pay the vet bills. This may be a condition the pupply had when purchased. Good luck.
