Rufous Hummingbird at Mexican Sage

This Rufous hummingbird really suprised us as we had not seen one before at our location. The beauty of the Mexican sage's purple blossoms must have attracted him. That sage sits near the front door and the kitchen window, making for a very nice photo opportunity. His hue is especially interesting and easily seen.
