When I flush my toilet it makes a loud trumpet sound that last about 30 seconds. How do I get rid of this noise? And what could it be?

I have no idea how to help you, but your post made me laugh! Hope you find a solution, but if not, it's a great conversation starter! Thanks for brightening my day!
Oh Dear! I don't have any practical suggestions. I just thought it sounded quite surreal and funny. Fancy having a trumpet solo played to you whenever you sat on the toilet!
I think air in the pipes will make sounds when the water is turned on.
I had this happen to me a long time ago and a plumber friend of mine said it was because the toilet was leaking somewhere, so I would check that out.

My hubby said it might have a clog in the vent maybe in the trap. You might want to try a drain cleaner that is safe to use in the toilet not all are.
Most likely that this is due to air and water mixing together, under high velocity creating friction thus the trumpet sound. That is the best I could come up with based on the physics of fluid motion.
