Has anyone experienced ill health after using Polident Denture adhesive for a while? I've been using it for about 4 months now and have been getting sicker and sicker. I notice that if I can go 3-4 days without using it to put my temporary dentures in, then I start to feel a little better. Unfortunately I have to have teeth to eat, and if I go anywhere I need them in.

Try Fixodent instead of Polident. Also, call your dentist and ask if he/she has an answer. I've used Fixodent for a long time and haven't had a problem. Maybe it's just the brand and their formulation. Good luck. Ill fitting dentures can take away a lot of your quality of life.
Zinc could be the problem. Fixodent or Polygrip can contain zinc. Try one without zinc colorless and flavorless, could work. Also they now have polystrips that work for me.
There have been reports on the news lately about health concerns caused by the denture adhesive. Talk to your dentist and use the smallest amount possible .
I'd look up all the chemicals that make up the adhesive. The mouth is one of the fastest ways to get something into your bloodstream. You may find a wealth of information that may effect other parts of your life.
My parents both had false teeth & they must have had a fantastic dentist cause my parents could eat anything with them & they never used adhesive;corn on the cob, apples, everything. They were very tight fitting & no sores or anything. Check the chemicals.
I think I'm experiencing extreme nausea because of Polident. I began using it about 5 weeks ago. I've been sick with nausea for about a month now. The only thingbive done differently was to start using Polident.
My wife used Polydent Adhesive on 2 different occasions and within 10minutes she was very sick.The 2nd time she had to be rushed to hospital, extreme nausea, very dizzy and she could not walk unassisted. She had Never had these symptoms before using Polident Adhesive.
Ive been using poly grip for 3 months now and recently i have been getting sick unexplained tiredness upset stomach and body aches and the only thing that is different in my life is this glue i recently got all false teeth That is literally the only thing different in my life that and using denture glue just trying to fi d out why i feel this way now
Yes i finally got my dentures finished and i ha e been using this glue and i have had unexplained body aches upset stomach wich i thought was due to goi g back to work but its been over 3 months and im still felling like this
My wife started having similar issues and found that when cleaning her dentures if she didn't use the brush and really rinse several times the cleanser residue would cause serious upset stomach issues, low blood pressure, and dizziness.
