Can I Paint Over Fence Stain?

We recently stained our wood fence, with a non shiny stain. Can we use the block wall paint over the stain?

For the best results, you should sand the fence first. The paint won't stick to the wood. Also, paint won't last as long as stain. It will chip and peel with age.

Also thin the first coat of paint or stain to half and half. That helps it soak in. But I agree, paint is not the thing to use, instead use a solid color stain.
