I am searching for recipes using wheat berries as a cold salad. Also any recipes using wheat berries as a hot side dish.

I have also heard wheat berries called farro, so you might look in indexes or on Google under farro...see Heidi Swanson's blog 101 Cookbooks...she cooks a lot with farro. I remember boiling it until tender (maybe the same as for brown rice) and then using it as a salad ingredient. I liked it but found it heavier and more filling than brown rice.
