How does the older cat act with the kitten when you're around?
She's great with him, really cuddly. Never hit him, she's only a year old herself! It will be night time, they are alone? He's in my bedroom at the moment!
Sounds to me they'll do just fine alone together so I wouldn't worry about it :-) Even if they have a little spat or two it's no different than humans and kitties forgive and forget easily :-)
