I have started to learn about water and dairy kefir. Does anyone have knowledge to share, for recipes? For soda pop, they suggest using special bottles, but I am wondering if there is a frugal alternative? Thanks in advance.

Search for-Kefir Recipes-plenty recipes there, good luck.
It is my understanding that any bottle will do. I use glass bottles or mason jars for both my water & milk kefir and my kombucha! I saw a guy on youtube that put his harvested product into liter plastic bottles.
As for recipes, I recently made a salad dressing and deviled eggs using milk kefir and they were GREAT!
Here's one kefir site with recipes: users.sa.chariot.net.au/
Be creative. Any place a recipe calls for milk or buttermilk or sour cream, add some milk kefir! Marci
