Power Craft Riding Mower Won't Start?

I have the same issue as others in getting my Power Craft 18 hp riding mower to start up again! It was running great, then it lost a deck spring. I replaced it and now while the thing turns the engine a tiny bit it won't start! The battery is new and charged up. I took off and cleaned the ignition so that seems OK and I just can't figure it out. Please help.
