This recipe is very easy, it's thrifty, and it is delicious. Use leftover homemade chicken soup or beef stew, thickened a little, for the bottom. Put this on top, and you have a delicious stew. It makes a tender, fluffy, biscuit-like topping. If you use leftover soup or stew, vary it up a little by adding another veggie or two.
Mix all the ingredients well. Knead 10 times. Roll to fit your baking dish, and put on top of your warmed filling. Cut slits in the crust to vent. Brush with a little milk. Bake at 425 degrees F for 20 minutes.
