Make Your Own Catalytic Effusion Lamp?

Where can I purchase the metal section (thrifty-wise!) to make my own catalytic effusion lamp? The instructions for how to make one are on Ebay but the lady selling the kit is a bit too high priced for me. There has to be another source, but where?
