These "Turtle Burgers" are just so very cute, creative, and fun that they definitely need to be shared with my entire ThriftyFun family and not just the recipe lovers! A little crispy and not too crunchy; just how a turtle should be ;-) Bon Appetit!

What a cute idea Deeli. I'm betting all the kids loved them. Very novel way of making a baconburger-hotdog, and I guess I'll have to try this one day. See how the future doctors of America will like them. LOL I can hear them "hooting" already.
Thanks to your mechanic and to you.

Awwwwww. They look just like turtles. What a creative way to serve kid's something they'll enjoy and hopefully will eat. I would like one too. TeeHee.
Thank you for sharing.

How bad for you can these possibly be! But how fun to make for a family/friend BBQ! Great idea, thanks for sharing, can't wait to try it on my grand kids!
This would be a great low carb option at a cookout, if you used the right hotdogs. I wonder how many odd looks I would get if I made these. lol
Hello Deeli, Both my partner and I love turtles (the real ones) I wonder if we would have a problem eating these little guys! ;) They are just way too cute!
Mmmmm, bacon. They look delicious, but I'll bet you could hear your arteries plugging up. What the hey, I'm going to try them anyway!
A little hint for those a bit new to cooking; place on an oven-proof rack ON A RIMMED BAKING SHEET - - NOT an oven rack, as the grease would not only drip into the floor of the oven, but would likely start a fire. I know many of us would instinctively know this, but I have taught enough people to cook to grasp how this might be excitedly read, understood and enthusiastically followed by those new to it.
If I hadn't been a vegetarian for 30+ years, I would love to make these. How much fun. I am even tempted to make them for a 'friends-get-together'.....but then I'd have remorse......
will do this using veggie'burgers', veggie'bakon', and other veggies for the head, tail and legs. What fun.
Wow, awesome. How cool is that?! I'm going to make these for my Grand kids! They will love them! Thank you for sharing!
