This proved a popular, filling meal with the family and I also froze it in tubs (1 portion size) for the boys when they were at university.
*Also known as hamburger or ground beef.
Brown ground beef and onion in a pan (no oil needed though you can use a small spoonful if you wish). Make sure the mince is all broken up while cooking. Add remaining ingredients. Garlic, herbs and seasoning can be added, according to taste. Place in casserole dish and put in oven at 325 degrees F (160 degrees C) for 1 hour
Serve with pasta, rice or garlic bread.

Sounds delicious - will certainly give this one a try.
So surprised that you didn't suggest Mashed Tatties (potatoes) to go with the mince. Always the way we ate this dish in bonnie Scotland.
Hi Groovygranny;
Don't forget the neeps and skirlie to go with your mince and tatties! Still the best way to serve mince in Scotland:-)
Or you could have dough balls:-D
