Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut asparagus in 1 inch pieces. Cook until tender. Then drain. Make sauce of melted butter, flour and seasoning. Put layer of asparagus in bottom of 1 quart casserole. Add sauce and half of chopped eggs. Repeat with additional layer. Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Makes 4 servings.

One delicious way to make a luscious side dish for the family.
Spray your dish with cooking spray. Layer asparagus, cheese, and crackers. End up with cheese on top. Add one can cream of mushroom soup to top. Crush crackers on top. Add some of reserved juice to casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F until bubbly. About 45 minutes. Cool and stir well before serving.

Mix together all ingredients except the butter. Pour melted butter on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Freezes well.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9x13-inch pan. Line bottom of pan with a layer of stuffing mix. Spread out asparagus over stuffing mix. Drizzle with lemon juice. Pour melted butter over asparagus and stuffing mix. Combine half-and half with soup. Pour over asparagus and stuffing mix. Bake 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 to 12 minutes longer, or until cheese is melted.

Can you substitute broccoli for the asparagus? Can you also substitute fresh asparagus for the canned, because canned can be mushy sometimes? Thanks a lot! (03/28/2008)

Place asparagus, eggs and crackers in greased baking dish. Make a white sauce of butter, flour, milk and juice. Pour white sauce over asparagus and over this, spread the mushroom soup. Add the cheese and sprinkle on crushed potato chips. Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven 15 minutes before serving.

Place drained asparagus in an 8x8 inch buttered casserole dish. Place enough sliced tomato on top of asparagus to cover. Next, layer onion rings, crumbled bacon, and cheese. Bake in 325 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until hot. This casserole also good served cold.

Cook rice in the juice of the asparagus, adding enough water to make 2 cup Combine egg, soup and cheese. Add rice and asparagus.
Mix butter in saucepan and gradually add flour, stirring constantly. Add asparagus juice, making a paste.
