I've found that creamy dressings are just too thick. They would put great dollops of dressing in one spot and then I would have to try to get it to spread around. I pour in just 1 tablespoon of water into a brand new bottle of dressing then shake it. A lot! I do this again and again so it pours just right. I tried putting in more at a time, but it would not mix evenly. It made lumps. So do it a little at a time.
Then I pour the amount I'd like on my salad into a small dish, like a custard bowl. This is so I can sort of measure. Meaning that if too much comes out it is in the bowl not on my salad. Now I can drizzle dressing from the bowl to the salad. I just don't like dipping.
