If you have a recipe that calls for sausage, and you don't have sausage, but do have hamburger, try this: Add 1 pkg. of Italian seasoning dressing mix. You will have it close to tasting like sausage.

Never thought of that. Great idea as I always have spices on hand. I rarely use sausage as it is costly in our area lately. This is why I enjoy this site so much for the sharing.
