No Need for Extra Oil When Frying Ground Beef

When frying hamburger meat, instead of using grease or oil, rub the skillet inside with the hamburger meat. This way you don't have to use oil or grease.

I just throw it in the pan and let the fat cook out of it. If I am doing onions with it, I don't add them until there is some grease in the pan.

Honestly I don't understand this tip...who would and why would they add oil to hamburger when frying it? My stepmom in law fries bacon in oil?!! what!? some habits are hard to break...and make absolutely no sense!

You never have to add oil to hamburger! It makes it own fat when you cook it. I always strain and rinse the meat after cooking it if I'm making soup or chili, or just need the loose ground-beef.
