I like this served over lightly lemon juice seasoned egg noodles or rice and sprinkled with a bit more Parmesan ;-)
Flatten chicken to 1/4 inch thickness.
Combine panko crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and basil in a shallow bowl and beat the egg in another bowl. Dip chicken into egg and then coat with the crumb mixture.
Brown the chicken in oil over medium heat in a large skillet for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until juices run clear.
